The Sawyer (Feb. 1919, New Bern, N. C.) pictured here under construction: #1 of the initial 4 of 9 U.S. Army Quartermaster namesake transportation river steamers of ferrocement. She has rested in our harbor for 80 yrs, misnamed the "Maj. Archibald Butt."
