1. How do I reserve a court?

As a member of the Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex you may reserve tennis courts free of charge up to 48 hours in advance by calling 843-856-2162. As a non-member of the facility, you may reserve a court the day of for a small fee.

2. How do I register for a USTA league team?

We keep names and numbers of team captains on hand to help out players that are in search of a team. Once you find a team, you will need to have a USTA membership and a membership with the Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex.

3. What is a good age to introduce my child to tennis?

We have tennis based activities for children as young as four years old.

4. What tennis activities are available for senior players?

We have active senior groups for both men and women that play Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex. Both groups meet year round starting by 8:00 AM. A MPRD annual senior tennis membership is required.

5. How do I reserve the tennis ball machine?

The ball machine is available at the Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex only and is available during normal business hours. Mount Pleasant Tennis staff reserves the right to not rent the machine during peek hours. There is a $10 per half hour or $15 per hour charge for use of the ball machine. Call 856-2162 to check availability and reserve the ball machine.

6. Can I play on any of the MPRD tennis courts free of charge?

Tennis courts at the Mount Pleasant Tennis Complex on Whipple Road need to be reserved and paid for in advance during normal business hours. Court usage fee is $3 for residents/$6 non-residents per player for hard courts and $6 for residents/$12 non-residents per player for clay courts. Our courts in the Old Village on Royall Avenue and at Park West Recreation Complex are free of charge and are first come first serve, however; MPRD programs have court priority. No league play is permitted at Royall Avenue or Park West.

USTA League seasonal membership $50 per season, resident $90 per season, non-resident
