Mount Pleasant, SC (October 3, 2023) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Senior Center will celebrate 15 years of serving active adults ages 50 and older with an educational and informative Open House on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Meet the dedicated staff and explore a wide variety of options in numerous fitness classes with live demos throughout. Tour the facility including the gym's treadmills, ellipticals and various equipment, learn about other program offerings and social activities including bridge and foreign language classes, and enjoy refreshments, giveaways and more.
“As we celebrate 15 years of award-winning fitness and social programs in our first-class facility for mature adults, we invite all to come explore the activities we offer folks in their 50s and beyond,” said Senior Center Coordinator Sherrie Pompeii. “Whether your interest is dance, exercise or adaptive fitness classes, billiards, ping pong or group games, creative endeavors like painting, pencil drawing or rug hooking, we have you covered!”
In addition to the opportunity to review the full slate of programs available to Mount Pleasant residents and non-residents at the Senior Center, the Open House will highlight the many athletic programs and classes offered by the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department for those age 50 and over. Come learn more about aquatic programs, tennis clinics, bridge games and all adult classes available for our community.
