Mount Pleasant, S.C. (June 22, 2023) - Owner Ashley Davis with her husband Marion, niece Lily, and family, joined by Councilman Howard Chapman, P.E., partnered with Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Director Rebecca Imholz and Chamber Board Members, celebrated the 1-Year Anniversary of Laurel & Lawton Gift Shop with an honorary ribbon-cutting ceremony. The business is located at 1123 Queensborough Blvd., #100.
Laurel & Lawton offers gifts and home accessories for any occasion with monogramming options and complimentary gift wrapping. Ashley opened her shop after 15 years as a public school teacher in the Charleston County School District. With her experience in education, she understands how valuable relationships are in the local community. One of the ways Ashley gets the most excited is when new guests return to Laurel & Lawton with their family members and she has the opportunity to know their entire family.
"Without the relationships we built with our customers and other small businesses, we probably would not have experienced the success we have had this year," Ashley mentioned. Laurel and Lawton collaborates with over a dozen local businesses and Ashley credits these relationships for successes in their first year in Mount Pleasant.
While being dedicated to the day-to-day operations of Laurel & Lawton, Ashley also remembers to give back to support the local community through donations to several organizations, Mount Pleasant school PTAs and teacher donations, and supporting town neighborhood sports teams.
