Submitted art should relate generally to Mount Pleasant or Lowcountry living. To apply, authors must submit a graphic art silhouette suitable for creating a stencil. The top three selected designers will be awarded a $100 honorarium.
Presented by the Town of Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts & Pride Commission, this program aims to promote local artists and to encourage interaction between the creative community, local businesses and residents.
“We are excited to continue this unique program that gives people a reason to smile while going about their business on rainy days,” said Special Events Manager Nicole Harvey.
The application and guidelines are available on the Culture, Arts & Pride Commission link at MtPleasantRec.com under Special Events Office. Submit artwork at events@tompsc.com or 391 Egypt Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
