MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (January 22, 2018) - Simmons Street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Rue De Muckle Drive and Live Oak Lane to the Harry M. Hallman Boat Ramp starting Monday, January 29 through February 16 for the relocation of utilities. All work will take place from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. During this time period the Harry M. Hallman Boat Ramp will be closed for utility and roadway repairs to the boat landing area. All boaters should use the boat ramp at Remleys Point located at the end of 5th Avenue in Mount Pleasant. The Shem Creek Marina will remain open during its normal hours of operation.
The road closure is necessary to relocate a sewer line on Simmons Street and for the safety of the public and the contractor’s personnel.
The driving public should follow the detour signage.
