MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (December 1, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant is pleased to announce that the application for Accommodations Tax Fund Grants are now available for qualified tourism and cultural arts projects occurring July 1 – December 31, 2018. Completed applications are due by
February 1, 2018 for consideration and will be reviewed by the Accommodations Tax Advisory Committee on March 7-8, 2018.
Funding is available under Section 6-1-530 of SC State Law for nonprofit organizations in advertising and promotion related to tourism development, maintenance or operation of a tourist-related facility, construction of a tourist-related building, and beach re-nourishment. The Town of Mount Pleasant will also be hosting an Accommodations Tax Workshop for past applicants and those interested in the funding process. The workshop will be held at Town Hall, located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane, on January 11, 2018 from 10:00-11:00am. All prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. Click here to register.
