MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (October 4, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following Tropical Storm Irma update:
- The Waste Management Division has completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma. Today they are finishing the last section of the normal Monday route and are collecting the normal Tuesday route. When they finish the second pass on the Tuesday route they will begin the second pass on the normal Wednesday route. The second pass includes collection of non-vegetative debris (trash).
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. They cannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 21,000 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 17 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
