MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (October 3, 2017) - The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department offers the following update:
- The Waste Management Division has completed their first pass of debris removal from Tropical Storm Irma. They continue the second pass on the normal Monday route which we hope to finish this afternoon. When they finish the second pass on the Monday route they will begin the second pass on the normal Tuesday route. The second pass includes collection of non-vegetative debris (trash.)
- Please ensure that vegetative debris piles only contain vegetation and that all other materials are stacked separately. They cannot be collected together.
- As of this morning, the Waste Management Division has collected 20,122 Cubic Yards of vegetative debris associated with the storm during 16 days of collection operations.
- All other Public Service Department Divisions are conducting normal operations and working their normal schedules and routes.
