MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 17, 2016) – Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page and Mount Pleasant Council Member Mark Smith recently attended a ribbon cutting at Kids Adventure Cutz, a salon specializing in a child’s first haircut through their teenage years.
“We are delighted to welcome Kids Adventure Cutz to the Town,” said Mayor Page. “We are proud that Mount Pleasant is a growing destination for business owners.”
Serial entrepreneur and proprietor of the new Mount Pleasant establishment, Paula DeMaire has operated Kids Adventure Cutz for fourteen years, with the Mount Pleasant location being her third investment.
“We are really excited to be a part of the Mount Pleasant community—one of strong families and businesses,” said DeMaire, who relocated from Rhode Island. “Our goal is to make the haircut, an often dreaded experience for both parents and children, an ‘adventure’ instead.”
Aside from the pirate-themed décor, clients are captivated by in-station TVs featuring movies or Xbox games, often forgetting the primary reason for the visit. Each child is rewarded with a visit to the treasure chest at the end of each visit.
Residents, and their young ones, can enjoy haircuts at the new establishment, in addition to airbrushed tattoos, washout hair tints, nail color and more in the shop located at 1152 Oakland Market Road.
