MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 16, 2016) – Mount Pleasant Town Administrator Eric DeMoura is “Getting Town Hall out of Town Hall” on Monday, March 21, 2016 by hosting his monthly drop-in mobile office hours aboard CARTA’s Eastbound Route 40 Bus.
“Our government outreach programs, such as Coffee with the Mayor and the Administrator’s Mobile Office Hours are great ways to informally engage and better connect with our residents about Town issues and concerns,” said DeMoura. “The outreach initiatives take place at various locations around Town and are very popular with our residents. We are pleased to announce that these outreach programs recently won a state award that will be presented this summer.”
“We invite regular commuters and new passengers to board the bus in front of Town Hall at 9:52 a.m.,” said Government Outreach Officer Lauren Sims. “The event will begin when the administrator boards the bus and conclude at 11:21 a.m. when the bus returns to Town Hall. The route will be free for passengers boarding this particular bus between these hours. During this time, the Town Administrator will also be live tweeting using the Twitter account MtPleasantGov. We invite you to participate and look forward to engaging with you.”
