Responsibilities


The Mount Pleasant Legal Department consists of the Town Attorney and a Staff Attorney. The Legal Department is responsible for all of the legal affairs of the Town of Mount Pleasant. Generally this includes, but is not limited to, being responsible for town ordinances and regulations, Municipal Court trials, civil and criminal lawsuits for and against the town, and day-to-day legal advice to the mayor and councilmembers, the town administrator, and department managers.
