All officers, especially patrol ought have business cards.
My wife had her purse snatched. The responding officer did a great job and was able to at least recover her phone. However to have his information and our case number he had to write it on a page from his notebook. Its would be easier for them, more professional looking for the force and a good pr feature if the police had business cards and on the reverse a spot for them to write case numbers or any other directions for the citizens.
