Business Outreach Meeting Takes Town Hall to ENGAGE Talent
MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (August 8, 2017) – The Town of Mount Pleasant recently hosted a business outreach meeting at ENGAGE Talent, a thriving Mount Pleasant-based technology company focused on passive job candidate sourcing. Headquartered on Mill Street, ENGAGE Talent is now being utilized by industry leaders such as CBS, Hilton, Colonial Life and DELL.
“We are delighted to have businesses, such as ENGAGE Talent, in Mount Pleasant competing with top tech companies in Silicon Valley,” said Mayor Linda Page. “With thorough data analysis and the continuous monitoring of potential candidates, they are able to stay a step ahead in one of the fastest-growing industries.”
ENGAGE Talent, formerly Job Market Maker, opened in 2013 and located its headquarters in Mount Pleasant in 2016. The company currently has 20 employees, all of which work out of the Mount Pleasant office. With a subscription to their online platform, recruiters have access to over 51 million candidates with varying experiences and strengths. The service allows users to quickly sort the data based on defined characteristics to find the best-suited candidates.
“We value these opportunities to connect with our businesses,” said Mount Pleasant Economic Development Committee Chair, Councilman Mark Smith. “When we are able to sit down with local business leaders, we develop a better understanding of the Town as a whole. ENGAGE Talent is growing, and we are very fortunate to have them in Mount Pleasant.”
The business outreach meeting series is designed to engage with local business leaders to better understand the challenges and opportunities they face to ensure Mount Pleasant remains unequivocally “Open for Business.”
