MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (February 6, 2017) - Holiday Inn Express Mount Pleasant - NE celebrated the grand opening of their new location in Mount Pleasant Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page, along with Councilmen Gary Santos, Mark Smith, Elton Carrier, and Jim Owens, as well as Chris Staubes, President of the Mount Plesant Chamber of Commerce, joined regional tourism leaders to honor the new addition to the Town.
“We congratulate Ashley Pointe Hospitality and Jupiter Holdings on opening their first hotel, Holiday Inn Express, here in Mount Pleasant,” said Mayor Page. “We appreciate their continued investment in our community by adding to our local economy.”
Located conveniently near the corner of Highway 17 North and the Isle of Palms Connector, at 1104 Stockade Lane, the new Holiday Inn Express is a 103-room hotel serving the business and leisure traveler. Guests are drawn to this hotel for a variety of reasons whether visiting friends and relatives in Mount Pleasant, touring Mount Pleasant, Historic Charleston and the Lowcountry, or spending quality time on the beautiful beaches nearby. This limited-service hotel, with a fabulous complimentary hot breakfast buffet, is strategically situated to impress travelers to the region.
"Jupiter Holdings is a local company that takes pride in its Lowcountry projects. This new, northernmost Mount Pleasant hotel fills a growing need for accommodations in the Town. We are pleased to have worked closely with Mayor Page, Council and staff to bring it to fruition," stated Eddie Buck, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Jupiter Holdings.
This hotel is the first for Ashley Pointe Hospitality, LLC, a company affiliated with Jupiter Holdings, which also oversees management of four Blue Water convenience stores and two Sonic Drive-Ins in the Town. Along with four SuperSuds carwashes, Jupiter Holdings continues to invest in the Town of Mount Pleasant by updating its properties and converting uses where market need dictates.
