MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (May 16, 2016) - Happy summer from the Town of Mount Pleasant! Celebrate the end of the school year at the 3rd Annual Town of Mount Pleasant Summer Splash Bash at the Park West Recreation Complex. Kick off the season riding a Ferris wheel and enjoying plenty of family-friendly activities on Thursday, June 2, from 2-6 p.m.
All activities, admission and parking are free. Kids of all ages will be treated to activities such as human bowling, Charleston Bubbleball, Little White Box photo booth, caricature drawings and more. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes! DJ Yonni of 95SX will play his best mixes and music for all to enjoy.
At the craft stations, Fear No Easel, Art Buzz Kids, and Charleston Harbor Resort will help your child create a beautiful piece of take-home art. Also, stop by InTown to see what’s new, and visit Palmetto Martial Arts for a demonstration. College of Charleston’s Clyde the Cougar and Patriots Point’s Scrappy will be there to entertain.
The Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will host its annual Family Fun Night in conjunction with Summer Splash Bash, so bring your swim suits and cool off in the pool for free! There will be plenty of noodles available, and floats and water toys are welcome.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Gidget Gourmet will offer pizza, meatloaf cupcakes, hotdogs, tacos and nachos. Pure Fluff will offer cotton candy, Happy Thai Foods will have selections for spice-lovers, and Kona Ice will be there with plenty of shaved ice to cool you down.
Please remember that skateboards, bikes, pets, alcohol and glass bottles are prohibited during the event. Parents are not permitted to drop children off. All children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times.
