MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (March 12, 2015) - The Charleston Chapter of the American Marketing Association yesterday hosted the 2015 SPARK! Awards to honor the most innovative marketing and public relations professionals in the region. With over 90 submissions, the Town of Mount Pleasant’s Cultural Affairs & Tourism (CAT) Office won Best Print Ad, Best Copywriting and placed second for Best Event Promotion. The award-winning ads create a “Day in the Life” scenario illustrating the relaxed atmosphere, array of popular events and the unique cuisine offered by local restaurants. The copywriting captures the idyllic culture only found in Mount Pleasant.
The American Marketing Association houses the largest network of marketing professionals in the nation. The SPARK! Awards provide an opportunity for members of the marketing and public relations industry to receive recognition for outstanding and creative work. The CAT Office works ardently to showcase the unparalleled charm of the Town as well as promote Town-sponsored special events and activities to devoted citizens and visitors of the municipality.
Cultural Affairs & Tourism Officer Ashley Richardson accepted the awards at a reception held at Rue De Jean in downtown Charleston. She was joined in celebrating the office accomplishment with the entire CAT staff, Nicole Harvey, Tracy Richter and April Adams. A special thanks to Gil Shuler Graphic Design for their professional design work in bringing the Come On Over brand to reality.
