MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (February 13, 2015) – The Town of Mount Pleasant will begin scheduling appointments to rent Alhambra Hall in 2016/2017 on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The first appointments will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 at Mount Pleasant Town Hall, Building A.
On Feb. 18, potential renters will call 843-849-5343 to reserve an in-person appointment and place a hold on their preferred date. Appointments will only be scheduled over the phone and an appointment is required to sign the rental contract, which confirms event date reservation. Appointments will not be booked before Feb. 18.
Each year Alhambra Hall closes in January, February and the first two weeks of August for extensive renovations and restoration. In 2016, Alhambra Hall will be closed January through March.
Mount Pleasant residents and organizations are given a discounted rental rate. Address verification shall be required at time of rental to complete a discounted rate contract. A South Carolina driver’s license showing Mount Pleasant address, or a picture ID with complete name to include a current utility bill with the same name and a current Mount Pleasant address will be accepted for residents. A Mount Pleasant resident may sign a contract and obtain the Mount Pleasant rate only for themselves or an immediate family member (parent/spouse/child/sibling). Verification of Mount Pleasant address is required for businesses, organizations/schools/clubs/nonprofits.
Rental days are only confirmed when the contract is complete and the Reservation/Damage Deposit is submitted (check, credit card or money order only).
