Charleston County Government’s Contracts and Procurement Department announces a free workshop for small business owners. The workshop will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, in the County’s Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston, SC in Room B339.
Charleston County’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in the Procurement Department are hosting the workshop. Mr. Matthew Clarke, Director of Contractor Surety Group, LLC will be the presenter.
Those attending the workshop will have the opportunity to learn about: - The Basics of Bonding and Its Importance to Small Businesses- Requirements to Become Bonded- Methods to Maintain and Increase Bonding Capacity
“This workshop will educate construction contractors and small businesses about industry challenges and assist participants in their efforts to obtain surety bonds or increase their bonding capacity,” said Director Contracts and Procurement Department Barrett Tolbert.
