Stormwater - Water Quality

  1. Annual Rain Barrel Sale

    April 20, 2017, 8:00 AM - June 4, 2017, 11:00 PM @ Purchase rain barrels on-line Two pick up locations - Summerville and N. Charleston

Help local water quality and flood control efforts by reducing your personal run-off. Run off from your roof (an impervious area) can be collected in rain barrels for and re-use in landscaping. This best practice helps to lower the amount of run-off we send out into our creeks. Want to to make a bigger reduction in your run-off foot print? - consider coupling a rain barrel with a rain garden. Learn more about the Rain Garden Initiative at http://www.clemson.edu/extension/raingarden/.
